Job Overview The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an IT SharePoint Manager to lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the agency’s SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms. In this role, you will guide governance, architecture, and platform operations to ensure a secure, scalable, and high performing collaboration ecosystem. You will partner across the enterprise to deliver modern SharePoint and Teams solutions, promote user adoption, and align collaboration capabilities with evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
Managing the configuration, governance, and lifecycle of SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms to ensure secure and reliable operations.
Overseeing site collections, structures, metadata, and Teams channels to support agency‑wide collaboration needs.
Administering access controls, including user provisioning, onboarding, and offboarding, in alignment with security and governance requirements.
Leading the design and delivery of modern SharePoint and Teams solutions, including workflows and integrations using Power Automate, Power Apps, CSOM, and REST.
Partnering with business stakeholders to analyze processes, identify opportunities for digitization, and deliver optimized collaboration solutions.
Promoting adoption of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools through training, demonstrations, and user focused solution design.
Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including governance standards, site inventories, and user support materials.
Supporting audits, platform updates, access reviews, and quality assurance activities to maintain a secure collaboration ecosystem.
Assisting in evaluating and procuring tools and services that enhance or integrate with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.
Qualifications
SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 administration experience.
Power Automate and Power Apps proficiency.
Ability to collaborate across teams and support user adoption.
Solid understanding of content management, permissions, metadata, and governance.
Additional Qualifications
8 1/2 years (102 mos.) experience commensurate with job duties to be performed & knowledge & skills required as outlined in approved position description on file for position to be filled as advertised in job posting; 18 months experience in performing project management functions as defined in series purpose.
Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in computer science or completion of undergraduate core coursework in any academic major which included at least one course in each of the following: advanced-level computer programming language (e.g., COBOL, Delphi, Java, Powerbuilder, Visual Basic, PL/I, SAS PCS, Pacbase, Full Visual Suite, Designer 2000, Developer 2000, C, C++, Visual C, ECL, or Visual Studio), logic-based mathematics, database concepts (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Access, Paradox, Sybase, IMS DB, DB2, Cache, DMS, or RDMS), computer systems analysis & design, & basic data processing concepts; additional 6 1/2 years (78 mos.) experience commensurate with job duties to be performed & knowledge & skills required as outlined in approved position description on file for position to be filled as advertised in job posting; 18 mos. experience in performing project management functions as defined in series purpose.
Or 12 mos. experience as Information Technology Supervisor 3, 64119, or equivalent.
Or in offices of statewide information technology policy & planning, positions require completion of undergraduate core coursework in computer science, or completion of undergraduate core coursework in any academic major which included at least one course in each of the following: advanced-level computer programming language (e.g., COBOL, Delphi, Java, Powerbuilder, Visual Basic, PL/I, SAS PCS, Pacbase, Full Visual Suite, Designer 2000, Developer 2000, C, C++, Visual C, ECL, or Visual Studio), logic-based mathematics, database concepts (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Access, Paradox, Sybase, IMS DB, DB2, Cache, DMS, or RDMS), computer systems analysis & design, & basic data processing concepts; 3 yrs. experience in utilizing word processing software; 3 yrs. experience in utilizing internet browser(s) for research; 54 mos. experience which included following: knowledge of information technology architecture components, developing information technology strategic plans, preparing & making presentations/public speaking, writing information technology related policy & procedures, preparing & monitoring budget, providing cost & resources estimates, & contract management; 2 yrs. experience in utilizing e-mail system; 18 mos. experience in project management or lead role on information technology project;12 mos. experience in utilizing spreadsheet software; 12 mos. experience as Information Technology Supervisor 3, 64119, or equivalent.

Additional Job Requirements On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Required to carry a cellular phone as assigned. Required to work overtime as assigned.
Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation. Or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license from state of residence.
