Nuclear Medicine Technologist- FT
MLee Healthcare is partnering with a local regional hospital to fill a position for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist. This role involves using radioactive isotopes and advanced imaging techniques to assist in medical diagnoses and provide exceptional patient care. As part of a collaborative healthcare team, the technologist will perform a range of procedures that produce diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist, ensuring patient safety and high standards of care. Essential Functions:
Verify patient identification and ensure all necessary information is accurate and complete before each procedure. Complete patient information sheets and gather relevant medical history prior to exams. Prepare and administer various radioactive materials, including intravenous injections. Operate and adjust nuclear medicine equipment, selecting appropriate settings for optimal imaging results. Position patients to best demonstrate the area of interest and determine the most effective technical factors for high-quality images. Implement radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and oneself. Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification, and address any patient concerns. Ensure images are correctly sent to the PACS system, verify their accuracy, and present them to the radiologist before patient dismissal. Possess knowledge of EMR/PACS computer systems. Nuclear Medicine Technologist Requirements:
Comprehensive understanding of Nuclear Medicine and PET exams. High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program is preferred. Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine is preferred. Proficient in using PACS/EMR systems. Benefits:
