is seeking a skilled and passionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a growing and dynamic hospital in central Vermont. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist conducts nuclear medicine procedures under the guidance of a radiologist, operating independently without constant supervision of technical details. They adhere to ALARA principles and all regulatory requirements to ensure safe and appropriate patient care. Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to obtain images. Position patients correctly and ensure patient comfort during procedures. Follow protocols to obtain high-quality images and maintain patient records. Monitor patients during imaging procedures and address any adverse reactions. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results. Maintain compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection measures. Perform quality control tests on equipment and maintain inventory of radiopharmaceuticals. Educate patients and families about procedures and address any concerns. Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology. Adhere to ethical and professional standards, including patient confidentiality. Qualifications:
Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with associated certificate or degree.
One (1) year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred. IEMA License in Nuclear Medicine. ARRT(NM) or NMTCB registry required
Maintains Basic Life support certification. Qualified candidates should also have the following experience: Epic EMR PET/CT Level I trauma center One year of paid nuclear medicine technologist
