The District Director of Sales will lead the top-line performance for three of Rapid City and the Black Hills region's most recognized hotels. The focus is simple: drive revenue, grow market share, and build long-term account partnerships. This role sets the tone for a high-performing, guest-focused sales culture-one that moves quickly, stays aligned, and consistently delivers results. It's a great fit for a strategic, relationship-driven sales leader who enjoys a dynamic market with strong demand across group, corporate, leisure, and regional segments.
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership
- Guide all sales efforts, ensuring each hotel operates with a cohesive strategy and clear priorities, identifying a priority asset. Commercial Strategy
- Build and execute pure-selling plans that strengthen RevPAR, ADR, and market share. Team Coaching & Development
- Develop strong sales talent at every level through coaching, accountability, and performance management. Market & Account Growth
- Expand key accounts, uncover new business, and deepen relationships with corporate, group, SMERF, and travel partners. Prospecting & Closing
- Lead by example - high-impact prospecting, and support closing high-value opportunities, especially during immediate-need periods. Brand & Community Representation
- Represent the hotels within the Rapid City and Black Hills community, tourism organizations, and regional business networks. Performance Reporting
- Provide accurate forecasts, pacing updates, and performance insights to senior leadership. Qualifications
Regency Hotel Management is seeking a dynamic District Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts in Rapid City, SD. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in driving revenue growth within the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to develop and execute innovative sales plans while fostering strong client relationships in the vibrant Rapid City/Black Hills market.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage sales operations across multiple hotel properties, ensuring achievement of revenue targets. Develop and implement strategic sales plans that drive growth and market penetration. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams. Analyze market trends and sales data to adjust strategies and maximize business opportunities. Collaborate as a commercial strategy team to align sales initiatives with overall business goals. Requirements
Hotel Sales Leadership Experience
- 3+ years in hotel or hospitality sales leadership; multi-property experience preferred. Strategic Sales Planning
- Proven ability to build and execute revenue-driving sales plans. Market Knowledge
- Familiarity with the Rapid City/Black Hills region or similar destination markets is a plus. Communication & Relationship Skills
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and client-relationship abilities. Analytical Skills
- Ability to interpret data, spot trends, and adjust strategy quickly. CRM Experience
