Senior Mobile Equipment Operator
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Senior Mobile Equipment Operator based out of our Marianna, FL plant. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment used in mining. Equipment operated may include bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. The operator will perform tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling in support of plant and production objectives. Day to day responsibilities include actively promoting safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition, complying with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. The operator must have experience operating at least three pieces of mobile equipment, including an excavator and dozer, and operate equipment in quarry or production. They will also identify any safety problems or concerns and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor including near misses and any other areas where safety can be improved. The ideal candidate will have prompt, regular, and predictable attendance, a positive, team-based attitude, and the ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required. They should also be able to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy) and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of two years of experience. While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
