About
Myers and Company Architectural Metals is seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic / Crane Mechanic to join our team in Basalt, Colorado. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and crane equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation on job sites.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and crane components
* Perform routine maintenance on trucks, cranes, and heavy equipment
* Inspect equipment for safety and operational issues
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards
* Coordinate with operators and management regarding equipment status
*Qualifications:*
* Proven experience as a diesel mechanic and/or crane mechanic
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment systems
* Experience working with cranes is highly preferred
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Physical Requirements:*
* Ability to lift heavy parts and tools
* Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
* Ability to stand, bend, and work in tight spaces as needed
