Versar Global Solutions is a Full‑time mid‑senior level Quality Assurance professional needed to maintain the reliability of projects within the USACE RMMR program.
Compensation Expected Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year. Versar Global Solutions reserves the right to offer additional benefits based on experience and geographic location.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control plan for maintenance and repair projects within the USACE RMMR program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and specifications.
Provide leadership and oversight to project teams, contractors, and maintenance personnel regarding quality requirements throughout all project phases.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards, employing preparatory, initial, and follow‑up inspections as required.
Identify and document any non‑conforming work or materials, collaborating with stakeholders to develop corrective actions and track their implementation.
Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, including reports, test results, and corrective action documentation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and implementing preventive measures.
Collaborate with contractors and regulatory agencies to foster a culture of quality and compliance, providing training and guidance to maintenance personnel.
Stay updated with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards related to quality control in repair and maintenance.
Supervisory responsibilities may exist; the individual must mentor subordinate staff where applicable.
Qualifications
Graduate engineer or construction management with minimum 5 years experience on Operation and Maintenance of Fueling Facilities, or 10 years experience on the same.
Strong knowledge of construction, maintenance, and repair methods, materials, and quality control standards.
Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to construction quality control.
Current USACE EM 385‑1‑1 training or thorough demonstrated knowledge.
Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; knowledge and ability to work in USACE RMS required.
Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM‑C) issued by USACE/NAVFAC required or must have prior to start date.
Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar credentials desirable.
Successful results of pre‑employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently; interpret technical documents and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
Authorized to work in the US; start date must be compliant with company policy.
Physical Demands
Computer work at a desk in an office or cubicle; reach with hands and arms, lift up to 10 lbs, stand, sit, and walk.
Ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs; use personal protective gear most days.
Close and color vision; use depth and peripheral vision; adjust focus as required.
Work Environment
Moderate noise level in a business office with computers and printers.
Field work at construction and client sites may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, electrical and mechanical parts.
Employees will wear hard hats, steel‑toed boots, and other appropriate safety equipment as needed.
Travel Requirements
Occasional attendance at meetings and other on‑site events; reliable transportation and current, valid driver’s license required.
Up to 50% domestic travel frequency; may require travel to domestic or foreign locations.
Access to federal installations or other secure facilities may require security badges and basic clearance.
