Implementation Specialist
to join our Professional Services team at Submittable. This role serves as a trusted advisor to our clients, blending software training, process expertise, and consultative support to ensure every customer is set up for success. You will play a critical role in guiding clients through onboarding by delivering tailored solutions and training that empower them to get the most out of the Submittable platform. How You’ll Make an Impact
Partner with clients to analyze existing workflows and translate them into effective solutions within the Submittable platform, providing best practice recommendations rooted in industry expertise. Build and configure accounts, forms, and workflows to client specifications, and perform thorough technical and functional testing across applicant, reviewer, and administrative workflows. Design and lead tailored training sessions for clients and their stakeholders, continuously adapting instruction to suit each client's needs and technical proficiency, with the goal of long‑term self‑sufficiency in mind. Own the client onboarding experience from kick‑off to launch, managing timelines, setting expectations, and proactively addressing roadblocks to ensure a smooth and confident transition. Serve as a cross‑functional partner by sharing client feedback and insights with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Account Management teams to inform feature development and drive customer adoption and retention. Maintain deep platform expertise and act as an internal subject matter resource, collaborating with teams to identify project risks, lessons learned, and mitigation strategies. What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience in implementation, solutions consulting, or a related client‑facing role, preferably in a SaaS environment. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading client‑facing conversations and presentations. Creative problem‑solver with a solutions‑oriented mindset. Ability to quickly develop working knowledge in one or more industries, such as nonprofit/government grants administration, education, contests, or awards. Culturally aware and able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Remote, U.S.-based role. Must live and reside in the U.S. full‑time. Annual salary $80,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States; however, we cannot accommodate scholastic or employment visas at this time.
