At OC Recruitment, we're hiring on behalf of a leading inpatient mental health service in Dublin, a place where lived experience isn't just valued, it's at the heart of how care is delivered. They're looking for a Peer Support Worker to join their Specialised Mental Health Rehabilitation Programme and walk alongside individuals as they rebuild their confidence, skills, and independence. This is a role for someone who has been through their own recovery journey and is ready to use that wisdom to inspire hope in others. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team of over 200 professionals across Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, OT, Social Work and more, all committed to person-centred, recovery-focused care. What you'll be doing: Coaching patients one-to-one and in groups as they develop personal recovery plans Helping individuals identify their strengths, goals and personal interests Modelling recovery and coping skills, drawing on your own lived experience Supporting patients to connect with their community, family and friends Accompanying patients to appointments and community activities Contributing a recovery perspective to multidisciplinary care planning and reviews Participating in regular supervision, handovers and team meetings What you'll need: A recognised qualification in Peer Support Working in Mental Health Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as a Peer Support Worker Experience in adult mental health, rehabilitation or community-based mental health services WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Programme) training and experience applying the model Strong knowledge of Mental Health Commission standards Evidence of ongoing professional development Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital setting is a bonus Why you'll love it here: A really inclusive, friendly workplace that prioritises employee wellbeing Work with a supportive, expert multidisciplinary team Real focus on work-life balance If you're ready to turn your lived experience into someone else's turning point, we'd love to hear from you.
