divh2Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA)/h2pCabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for Certified Nurses Assistants (CNA) who are dedicated to high quality and compassionate care to join our Acute Care/Med Surg Department!/ppThe CNA assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse as well as has knowledge of age specific population and competencies defined by the department and utilizes this information in the overall care of the patients./ph3Major Job Duties Responsibilities/h3pDemonstrates communication by clearly conveying information and ideas through appropriate mechanisms in a way that engages people and helps them understand and retain the message./ppDemonstrates ability to communicate to the RN any observed changes in patients status and responses./ppCommunicates appropriately and clearly to co-workers and Providers./ppPerforms all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health errors. Supports a culture of safety and quality./ppDemonstrates work standards and accountability of conduct by setting high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks./ppAssists in admission, transfer and discharge of a patient./ppPerforms waived testing (point-of-care testing) per Clinical Laboratorys and the units policies and procedures./ppPerforms patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patients age./ppManages and operates equipment safely and correctly./ppDocuments to current standards and policies. Completes this within the shift./ppAccompanies patients on transports via ambulance, wheelchair or shuttle bus to Libby Care Center when necessary/ppDemonstrates the safety standard of conduct by familiarizing him or herself with policies and procedures, practicing personal and patient safety consistently and reporting any and all safety hazards and/or violations./ppMaintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care./ppAdheres to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center confidentiality policies and procedures./ph3Skills, Knowledge, Abilities/h3pBasic computer knowledge./ppAble to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing./ppKnowledge of medical terminology./ppMust be self directed, able to complete outlined tasks without needing to be prompted./ph3Education Requirements/h3pHigh School graduate or equivalent./ppCurrent MT CNA license./ppBLS certification preferred; must obtain within 3 months of hire./ph3Experience/h3p6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferred, not required./ph3Schedule/h3pShifts/hours may vary and should be confirmed with the Acute Care Manager./ppMight include nights, evenings, weekends and/or holidays./ppCabinet Peaks Medical Center is committed to providing a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all employees.
