Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Engineer 2, Database Administration (Oracle DBA).

What You Will Be Doing: As an Engineer 2, Database Administration, you will play a critical role in the implementation and maintenance of Oracle production databases. You will apply your technical expertise to solve complex business problems, serve as a subject matter expert, and represent your department on challenging assignments. This role involves monitoring daily database activities, managing performance, growth, and tuning configurations, as well as ensuring database security and compliance. You will evaluate technology effectiveness, gather requirements, conduct testing, and recommend improvements that drive quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Develop scripted automation of Oracle tasks to streamline database operations and reduce manual effort.
Implement and support patching coordination, backup and recovery procedures, database utilities, and data replication technologies for both PROD and NON-PROD environments.
Create and maintain UNIX and SQL scripts to automate monitoring tasks and generate reports.
Log, schedule, and track all changes using change management system tools.
Take responsibility for all corrections to the database infrastructure and for repairs to the system or database.
Protect customers and organizational brands by incorporating security and compliance considerations into all decisions.
Collaborate with application owners and DBAs to ensure ongoing database compliance standards are maintained.
Listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with expectations.
Assist with process improvements and change management activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
3 years of experience with Unix Korn Shell scripting.
3 years of experience with Python scripting.
3 years of experience in an Oracle DBA position or equivalent related experience.
3 years of Oracle database platform experience.
Proficient Oracle DBA knowledge including upgrades, patching, and RMAN backup/recovery.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) version 10g or higher.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts across the organization.
Strong teamwork, decision-making, documentation, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of Service Management best practices including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Experience protecting Confidential and Highly‑Confidential database content.
Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
1+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle 19C.
Experience with one or more of the following databases: MSSQL Server, MariaDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with multiple facets of Oracle Data Guard, including physical and Active Data Guard.
Knowledge of database encryption techniques.
Knowledge of Perl, Bash shell, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of PCI or other IT Security compliance standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).
Pay: $44.10 – $63.00 /hr.
