About
We\'re looking for a highly capable, Mechanical Engineer. This role is open to all nationalities (UAE / Gulf experience preferred). What you\'ll do
Lead design, review, supervision, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, hot water, filtration). Perform detailed engineering calculations (cooling/heating loads, pump head, pipe sizing, pressure drop, airflow, etc.) and provide expert technical guidance. Prepare & review Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) ensuring compliance with specifications & consultant/client requirements. Review & confirm Shop Drawings & Combined Services Drawings ensuring design intent, specification compliance & authority regulations. Review consultant design drawings, verify applicability & ensure proper coordination with architectural, structural, electrical, ID drawings before implementation. Ensure full compliance of all mechanical works with project specifications, codes & standards. Apply strong system expertise across: Chilled Water Systems (Airside & CHW side) Plumbing & Drainage Systems Domestic Water Supply Systems Central Hot Water Systems & Filtration BMS & Systems Control Integration Troubleshoot & resolve mechanical and control system issues effectively during construction and commissioning. Oversee testing, balancing, commissioning & operation of mechanical systems, ensuring zero snags at handover. Identify critical design areas, review drawings & initiate RFIs/RFCs to resolve gaps/conflicts early. Provide commercial & technical input including cost-cutting & value engineering solutions while maintaining quality & performance. Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing & other trades for seamless MEP integration. Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors & authorities (DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence) for approvals & technical clarifications. Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates & risk registers to senior management and clients. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognized by UAE Ministry of Education) 5–8 years strong MEP experience (high-rise, commercial, residential, villas in UAE preferred) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Elite, Pipe Flow Expert or similar software Deep knowledge of DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence & Dubai Green Building Regulations Strong calculation & troubleshooting ability (load calculations, hydraulic design, system balancing) Multi-disciplinary coordination experience Excellent communication, reporting & leadership abilities
