We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, security, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our physical, virtual, and cloud network infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, scalability, and availability of ATSER’s SaaS production environments, Azure-based disaster recovery environments, and legacy production systems hosted in a co-hosted data center.
This position requires a highly experienced engineer with deep technical expertise in Azure networking, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, segmentation, WAF technologies, and network security operations. The ideal candidate will also be capable of owning network-related StateRAMP boundary documentation and network security controls aligned to NIST 800-53.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Design, implement, configure, maintain, and optimize ATSER’s physical, virtual, and cloud network infrastructure.
* Support and maintain networking across production, disaster recovery, and legacy hosted environments.
* Ensure availability, performance, and security of ATSER’s SaaS production infrastructure, including Azure-hosted environments and legacy production systems in a co-hosted data center.
* Support and maintain Azure disaster recovery network architecture, connectivity, failover readiness, and recovery operations.
* Manage and support networking across Azure, Hyper-V, on-premises systems, and co-hosted data center environments.
* Administer and maintain Azure networking services, including VNets, routing, connectivity, segmentation, and hybrid network integrations.
* Configure, monitor, patch, upgrade, and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, WAF platforms, and related network security technologies.
* Manage and troubleshoot Azure Firewall, Fortinet firewalls, IPSec tunnels, and site-to-site / remote access VPN connectivity.
* Design and support high-availability firewall environments, including Fortinet HA.
* Implement and maintain Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions, including Azure Application Gateway / Azure WAF and related edge security services.
* Support and enhance Azure Front Door, Azure Private Link, Azure internal DNS, and other Azure-native networking and security services.
* Perform upgrades and changes required by Microsoft for supported Azure services and network-dependent cloud platforms.
* Implement and maintain VLAN segmentation, micro-segmentation, and secure network zoning strategies.
* Configure and support BGP and other enterprise routing technologies as required.
* Troubleshoot complex network, firewall, VPN, routing, switching, DNS, and connectivity issues across Windows, Linux, on-premises, cloud, disaster recovery, and co-hosted production environments.
* Analyze and monitor network performance, availability, utilization, and security posture; recommend and implement improvements.
* Create, maintain, and update technical network documentation, diagrams, standards, procedures, and operational runbooks.
* Own and maintain StateRAMP boundary documentation and support network-related NIST 800-53 security controls.
* Collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, development, operations, and compliance teams to ensure secure and scalable network operations.
* Support audit, compliance, and security initiatives related to StateRAMP and other regulatory requirements.
*Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or equivalent senior-level network infrastructure role.
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking; Azure is required.
* Strong experience supporting production environments, Azure disaster recovery environments, and legacy hosted infrastructure.
* Strong experience with Azure Firewall.
* Strong experience with Fortinet firewalls, including Fortinet HA.
* Strong experience with IPSec tunnels and VPN technologies.
* Strong experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
* Strong experience with Azure Application Gateway / Azure WAF.
* Strong experience with VNets and Terraform.
* Strong experience with BGP and deep understanding of TCP/IP networking.
* Experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual network infrastructure.
* Experience with routers, switches, VLANs, segmentation, and micro-segmentation.
* Experience supporting both Linux and Windows environments.
* Experience monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing infrastructure upgrades and patching.
* Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create clear, accurate documentation.
* Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* *Experience with F5 BIG-IP.*
* Experience with Azure Front Door.
* Experience with Azure security boundary design.
* Experience with Azure Private Link and Azure internal DNS.
* Experience with Dell switches.
* Experience with Ubiquiti networking equipment.
* Experience with Hyper-V.
* Experience supporting StateRAMP boundary documentation and network controls mapped to NIST 800-53.
* Azure networking certifications, especially Azure Network Engineer Associate or similar.
*Certification Requirement*
* Azure networking certification is preferred at hire and will be required within the first 30 days of employment if not already held.

* Must be able to pass a background check.
* Must be able to pass a drug test.
* This role requires strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to support critical production and recovery environments.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
