About

Primary Responsibilities
Provides development estimates and participates in project planning
Designs and builds data extracts, integrations and transformations
Establish database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy
Designs and develop programs and tools to support data ingestion, curation and provision of enterprise data to achieve analytics & reporting on our current technology stack
Provides successful deployment and provisioning of data solutions to required environments
Ability to troubleshoot any complex issues as well as provide support to production
Develops understanding of the data and builds business acumen
Reviews discrepancies in requirements and resolves with stakeholders
Identifies and recommends appropriate continuous improvement opportunities and ensures integrations are automated and have proper exception handling
Key team member of project team designing and deploying a data pipeline
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science OR related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience as a Developer
4+ years of experience with advanced MS SQL Server queries including creating stored procedures, views and functions and query tuning
4+ years of experience with analyzing, documenting, and reverse engineering, any type of SQL based applications and processes
4+ years of experience with Transact-SQL, Stored Procedures and Microsoft SQL Server
2+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Knowledge of advanced SSIS concepts to handle complex tasks like importing large files, loading data in a transactional database, etc.
2+ years of experience with ETL
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare experience
Demonstrated experience successfully documenting and communicating software designs of complex systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and using good business judgment
Demonstrated ability to reduce and/or prevent production defects based on the continuous root cause analysis and process improvement
Demonstrated experience with estimation and planning

Work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.
Pay range: $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary is determined by local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401(k) contribution are included, subject to eligibility requirements.
