About the Role

If so, we want you to join our team as Senior Systems Networking Engineer The Senior Network Engineer will play a key part in supporting and developing the network and systems infrastructure that keeps our colleges running smoothly. Your work will directly impact teaching, learning, and operational success across the Inspire Education Group. This is a full-time (37 hours per week), permanent role based on-site, with flexible working options available after successful completion of probation. What Youll Be Doing as a Senior Network Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and management of WAN, LAN, and wireless networks. Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and secure connectivity to third-party systems. Drive IT projects from planning to rollout, ensuring deadlines, quality, and service standards are met. Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues for users of all technical levels. Work closely with the Senior Cyber Security Engineer to maintain a secure IT environment. Develop automated monitoring and alerting systems to improve performance. Act as a point of escalation for complex IT issues and support the Service Desk. Stay up-to-date with technology trends to continuously improve our IT services. What Were Looking For
Essential: Strong experience with network switching, routing, and firewall configuration. Proven track record in supporting multi-site IT operations and complex projects. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development. Desirable: Experience in an educational environment. Knowledge of ITIL or similar service delivery frameworks. Qualifications
Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent). Degree-level or equivalent professional IT qualification. Professional IT certifications (or working towards them). Why Join Us?
