We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods within our warehouse. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will be part of a fast-paced environment where precision and speed are equally important.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets of goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including stocking and organizing.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
