Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the movement, organization, and tracking of materials within our warehouse facility. Your efficiency and accuracy are key to maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. You will operate various material handling equipment and adhere to strict safety procedures, utilizing provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Track material movements using inventory management systems and scanning equipment.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
  • Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies.
  • Proper use of all required PPE.
  • Assist in other warehouse functions as needed to support logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Proven ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and basic logistics.
  • Commitment to safety, including adherence to all guidelines and the correct use of PPE.
  • Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
