About

*Title*: CAD Designer
*POSITION OVERVIEW*
* Looking to launch your career in design and engineering? As an Entry-Level CAD Designer, you’ll help create and improve technical drawings used in building real products and systems. You’ll work with engineers and technicians to support projects in areas like production, testing, and product development. In this role, you'll use CAD software to create and update technical drawings, follow plans and diagrams, and help solve problems with electronic and mechanical parts. You’ll also work with technical data, perform calculations, and learn how to improve work processes along the way. This is a great opportunity to build your skills, learn from experienced professionals, and grow in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
*RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTED DUTIES*
* Work closely with Design Engineers to create components or parts of larger systems, and modify existing designs to improve products and support manufacturing and field operations.
* Use computer-aided design (CAD) tools—such as Creo Parametric (preferred) or SolidWorks—to develop and update detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
* Gather technical data, perform basic calculations, and prepare rough layouts or sketches to present design concepts.
* Coordinate design requirements with teams in engineering, manufacturing, materials, and planning to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet specifications.
* Support the change management process by preparing initial drawings and updating released designs through change orders.
* Interpret verbal instructions and technical input to perform design tasks independently, while working under moderate supervision.
* Contribute to intermediate technical activities that may require sound judgment and problem-solving based on established procedures.
* Communicate effectively with internal team members to share technical information and clarify design details.
*REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:*
* Requires minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.
* Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
* The right person for this role needs to have a curious mindset and a high drive to learn and grow.
