The enterprise is a super nice Swiss company specialized in the ICT Solutions. They are looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join their team in Zurich or Basel, Switzerland. The salary range for this position is CHF90-105K/year (depending on the experience).

Vacancy
Who you are
- Fluent in Swiss-German and English
- Experience in operating internal network infrastructure from a service provider perspective
- Knowledge of service provider and enterprise technologies such as xDSL, WAN/LAN, data center routing and switching protocols, MPLS-VPN, and Firewalls
- Experience with Cisco equipment (Cisco CCNA certification is a plus)
- Proficiency in WAN/LAN protocols, routing, Ethernet/Switching, VLAN, and SDN
- Excellent documentation skills
Your tasks
- Designing, deploying, and supporting customer access equipment on the network side
- Communicating with customers via email and phone to provide third-level support and gather initial requirements for new installations
- Administering and supporting internal and customer firewall environments according to IT security policies
- Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects for optimization
- Upgrading data network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- Configuring routers, switches, and firewalls
- Providing remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation and fault management
