The hiring company is a booming Swiss SME active within the research and academic field. As they are growing, they are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join their team working remotely (option to go to the office in Lausanne or Zurich if wished). The salary range for this position is CHF 80-130K / year, depending on the experience.

Vacancy

Who you are

  • Min. 2-3+ years of experience in backend development with Ruby on Rails
  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, knowledge of PostgreSQL, Code Unit, Integration Tests
  • Fluent in English (C1), French or German knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of Frontend (VueJS or React) is a plus
  • Good knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, Ansible is ideal

Your tasks

  • Contribute to the Cloud solution by building and developing backend components based on Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL
  • Bring some knowledge on the frontend part if you have any experience with JavaScript frameworks such as VueJS or React
  • Write Code Unit, integration tests with Rails tests, Rspec, Vitest
  • Be in touch with partners and other team members to constantly improve the Cloud solution
  • Work in an agile and DevOps environment

  • Permanent contract
  • 10-100% occupation rate
