Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support enterprise-scale database environments across multiple data centers. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL administration, database performance tuning, replication technologies, and infrastructure migration activities. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, stability, security, and operational excellence across mission-critical platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications Strong fundamentals and hands-on administration experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or higher) and PostgreSQL. Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience moving databases between multiple enterprise data centers and supporting large-scale migration projects. Strong understanding of backup/recovery strategies, RMAN, replication, clustering, and HA/DR solutions. Experience with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting. Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with disaster recovery planning and failover testing. Familiarity with shell scripting, Python, or Ansible for automating routine DBA activities. Experience in partnering with infrastructure, engineering, application support, and cybersecurity teams. Strong experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication and multi-master environments. Knowledge of database monitoring tools and automation frameworks. Understanding of infrastructure concepts including storage, networking, and virtualization. Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry. Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and support Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments in production, QA, and development ecosystems. Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and capacity planning activities. Monitor and optimize database performance through proactive tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Lead and support database migration initiatives across 2-3 enterprise data centers with minimal downtime. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate replication environments for high availability and data synchronization. Implement database security standards, access controls, and operational best practices. Support disaster recovery planning, failover testing, and business continuity initiatives. Participate in on-call production support and incident resolution for critical database environments. Company Benefits & Culture
