Dental Assistant / EFDA – Pittsburgh, PA | Downtown Private Practice
Our established private dental practice in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant or EFDA to join our team! We treat our patients and team members like family and pride ourselves on creating a supportive, team-oriented environment where everyone is valued and appreciated.
Our office performs a wide variety of procedures including general dentistry, implant surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and root canals. We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, highly skilled, and passionate about patient care. We love continuing education, advanced technology, and helping our team continue to grow professionally.

Schedule
Full-Time
- Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every Other Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay & Compensation
- $26–$31 per hour, depending on experience

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist chairside during a wide range of dental procedures
- Take dental X-rays and assist with patient charting
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA/infection control standards
- Support implant, cosmetic, and endodontic procedures
- Help maintain smooth clinical flow throughout the day
- Educate patients and provide excellent patient care
- Work closely with the clinical team to support overall office success
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience required
- X-ray certification required
- EFDA license preferred but not required
- Dentrix experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Passion for patient care and continuing to improve clinical skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
