As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality, reliability, and compliance from NPI throughout the product lifecycle. This role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain to maintain high quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and support efficient production of industry-leading technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, procedures, and inspection criteria for products and processesSupport quality activities across manufacturing, testing, and production operationsLead quality activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from development through ramp to productionDefine and implement quality plans, inspection strategies, and control plans for new productsParticipate in design reviews (DFMEA, PFMEA) to identify risks and drive corrective actions early in the product lifecycleDevelop and review test plans, validation plans, and qualification requirementsPerform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving toolsAnalyze quality data, yield trends, and defect metrics to identify improvement opportunitiesConduct and support internal audits, process audits, and compliance reviewsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirementsReview engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and change noticesSupport supplier quality activities, including incoming inspection, supplier corrective actions, and quality performance monitoringEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality management standardsAssist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfactionPrepare and maintain quality documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, inspection records, and reports
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)1-3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, within IT, hardware industryWorking knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (CAPA, 8D, 5 Whys, SPC, FMEA)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
Experience in server, storage, networking, or data center hardwareSupplier quality or contract manufacturing experienceSix Sigma Green Belt or equivalent quality certificationExperience with reliability testing or failure analysis
Salary range offered for this position is between $80,000 to $110,000 annually. This can be subject to change based on the candidate's experience level and skill set.
