Overview As an Embedded Software Engineer you will contribute to the development of advanced medical monitoring products that save lives around the world. You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, implement, test, and maintain embedded software solutions. Responsibilities Develop embedded software components and assist in maintaining applications using C++ and the Qt framework/Javascript REACT. Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product team members to understand system requirements and contribute to software‑hardware integration. Participate in code reviews, follow coding standards, and learn testing and debugging techniques. Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues in embedded environments, including basic performance and reliability testing. Assist with creating and maintaining clear technical documentation for designs, implementations, and test procedures. Learn from senior engineers, gradually taking ownership of well‑defined features or modules as experience grows. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 0+ years of experience in software or embedded systems development (including internships, co‑ops, or academic projects). Programming Fundamentals: Knowledge in C++ and a UI framework (Qt, JavaScript, React), with an understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts. Exposure to Qt or other UI frameworks is a plus. Embedded Systems Exposure: Familiarity with embedded systems concepts and basic exposure to embedded Linux or similar environments through coursework or projects. Problem‑Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and ask questions when solving technical challenges. Collaboration & Communication: Ability to communicate clearly, work well in a team environment, and accept feedback as part of continuous improvement. Benefits Estimated base salary: $88,000 to $121,000 annually. This range may vary based on market and individual factors. The position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
