Responsibilities The Network Engineer supports the daily operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure across the organization. This role ensures the reliability and performance of wired and wireless networks, VPN access, and cloud-connected systems. While the primary focus is on traditional networking, we are also looking for a candidate with a passion for automation and scripting to help move toward a more modern, DevOps-aligned IT model.
This position is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of enterprise networking and a genuine drive to grow their skills in scripting, network automation, and infrastructure-as-code, whether you’re building on formal training, hands‑on experience, or a career pivot into infrastructure.
Essential Functions PRIMARY
Monitor and maintain network health, availability, and performance.
Assist with configuration and support of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, load-balancers, and VPNs
Perform network troubleshooting and elevate complex issues to senior engineers
Support security and compliance efforts by helping manage firewall rules, segmentation, and network‑based protection
Assist in onboarding new sites, remote workers, and network infrastructure
Document configurations, IP assignments, and changes using version‑controlled tools where applicable
Maintain accurate network documentation using infrastructure‑as‑code and IPAM tools such as Netbox.
Create or adapt scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate network tasks, reporting, or log collection
Participate in the development of repeatable processes for deploying and managing network resources
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and support teams for troubleshooting and projects
Provide on‑call or after‑hours support as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training.
