IT Specialist positions (GS‑13) are being filled through the Office of Personnel Management's Direct Hire Authority. The role requires specialized experience and competencies as listed below.
Qualifications
Attention to Detail – Thoroughness and conscientiousness.
Customer Service – Works with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information or assistance, and resolve problems.
Oral Communication – Effectively expresses information to individuals or groups, makes clear presentations, listens and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving – Identifies problems, evaluates alternatives, and makes recommendations.
Specialized Experience To qualify for the GS‑13 level, candidates must possess specialized experience at or equivalent to GS‑12 in or related to the work of the position. Experience must include installing, configuring, administering, and modifying RedHat EnterpriseLinux versions 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x; administering x86 hardware; administering WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Deployment Manager, and WebSphere MQ software; and administering Kubernetes namespace.
