Lead, Project Engineer
– SEIT IPT - *Sign-on bonuses between $15,000K - $25,000K* L3Harris is actively seeking a Project Engineer – SEIT IPT LEAD to support the execution of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on airborne platforms. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the program technical development is performed to meet all technical, cost, and schedule requirements and that the final design meets all customer requirements. Planning and execution of program activities Documenting and approval of program plans Risk identification and management Customer and Senior Leadership interaction The individual Engineering Functional Task Leaders (Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Specialty Engineering, Logistic Engineering, Technical Publications, etc.) report to and take direction from the Project Engineer for the assigned program operations. In addition, Project Engineers are the key technical interfaces to Customers and have the responsibility to interact with Customers at every phase of the program lifecycle. Support planning, execution, and oversight of SEIT activities across the full program lifecycle. Coordinate system engineering, integration, verification, validation, and test efforts to meet program objectives. Translate customer and contractual requirements into actionable technical plans and engineering tasks. Lead cross-functional coordination between systems engineering, design engineering, software, test, manufacturing, quality, and program management. Track Engineering Performance Metrics and brief program status on a monthly basis to senior engineering leadership Ensure program execution and Bid/Proposal development are in accordance with engineering processes and policies Plan and coordinate integration activities for subsystems, components, and end-item configurations. Oversee preparation for integration events, lab testing, ground testing, environmental testing, and flight testing as applicable. Ensure verification and validation activities are aligned with requirements and customer expectations. Manage technical schedules, action items, risks, opportunities, and issue resolution related to SEIT scope. Support requirements traceability between customer requirements, design requirements, verification activities, and certification evidence. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
