Due to continued growth, we're seeking a skilled Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical or Plumbing Bias) to join our team, providing maintenance support across a portfolio of commercial and industrial client sites.
The Role
As a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring critical plant, equipment, and building services operate safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that combines electrical and mechanical expertise with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
No two days are the same-you'll travel between client locations, carrying out maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and supporting site operations to minimise downtime and maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of electrical and mechanical systems. Diagnose and repair faults on plant, machinery, and building services equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot three-phase electrical systems, motors, drives, inverters, and associated controls. Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems including gearboxes, valves, and rotating equipment. Complete maintenance records and reports using CAFM systems and mobile technology. Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures. Prepare and follow risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work documentation. Liaise with clients and site teams to provide first-class service and technical support. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to increase equipment reliability and performance. Participate in an on-call rota and work occasional overtime when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification. Strong experience in a maintenance engineering environment. Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent. Proven multi-skilled engineering experience with both electrical and mechanical systems. Experience working with: Three-phase electrical systems Motors, drives, and inverters Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment Fault finding and diagnostics PLC fault-finding and basic diagnostics Ability to produce and work from risk assessments, method statements, and permit systems. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Working at Height certification. IPAF qualification. Authorised Person (AP) qualifications. Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or heavy engineering environments.
