Overview The BTI Analytics team is part of the Insights and Products Analytics team within the Business and Technology Insights (BTI) Business Unit. The team performs analysis across all aspects of Gartner’s insights business, providing client‑centric data, insights, and analytic tools to improve operational and strategic performance. Manager Role We are looking for a Manager who is a proven analytical problem solver, has a strong technical understanding of data and data systems, and is an exceptional coach. This individual will lead 2‑3 direct reports, roll up their sleeves, and drive strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Design, implement, and refine analytics solutions to measure and improve interaction performance, identifying trends and opportunities for business improvement. Develop comprehensive end‑to‑end dashboards and monthly/quarterly insight packs that clearly communicate performance, root‑cause analyses, and emerging trends. Enable managers to access insights, best practices, and data for coaching through a dedicated portal or “destination postcard.” Identify friction points in the inquiry process and analyze levers to reduce them, such as improving analyst availability and minimizing reschedules. Establish architecture and measurement for webinar performance, showcasing KPIs and bright spots. What you will do Build expertise to be the center of excellence on Gartner research asset data, ensuring accuracy and reliability for cross‑functional teams. Partner with stakeholders (IT, Operations, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Product Management) to prioritize work and enable seamless communication. Coach the team to become world‑class analysts who can dissect ambiguous business problems, apply quantitative models, and deliver actionable insights. Develop and continuously improve analytical methodologies, structuring large datasets for data‑driven decision making. Continuous improvement – automate dashboards, reports, and analyses to increase scalability and efficiency while identifying process enhancements. Effective communication – produce clear, compelling outputs that explain root causes and tell a coherent story. Collaboration and knowledge sharing – promote teamwork and facilitate knowledge sharing to drive collective success. What you will need Experience: 8+ years of progressive business analytics experience with complex problem solving and strategy. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or operations research preferred. Exceptional problem solving: Proven track record of solving complex problems, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, innovation, and influencing senior stakeholders. Strong technical understanding of data and skills to analyze and visualize it. Statistical analysis: Identify patterns, avoid bias, and apply appropriate models. Programming languages: SQL, Python, R. Data visualization tools: Power BI. Attention to detail: Data hygiene, quality checks, documentation, etc. Ability to leverage AI tools: CoPilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini (preferred). Rigorous prioritization: Success in fast‑paced environments with competing priorities. Leadership: Ability to lead, coach, and engage teams across all organizational levels. Collaboration and stakeholder management: Strong influencing skills in a matrixed environment. Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication – structured, engaging, and compelling.
