Description
We are seeking a
Network Engineer
for our global unified communications system located in
Stafford, VA,
which supports over 180,000 users. In this role, you'll assist with the design, validation, and documentation of the enterprise communications architecture, with primary focus on Cisco voice solutions. Additionally, you'll provide consultation to deployment and operations teams and provide input to the technology roadmap, as well as report and provide recommendations to leadership, therefore strong communication skills are required.
Role will be onsite 4/days per week and 1 virtual day per week.
Job Duties: System Architecture:
Support the design of a robust and scalable unified communications architecture. Create clear, standardized documentation and implementation guides Pre-Production Validation:
Assist with the building and validation of the solution design in a pre-production environment to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability before enterprise rollout Subject Matter Expertise:
Provide expert guidance to implementation and operations teams for deployment and complex issue resolution Technology Strategy:
Provide input to the unified communications technology roadmap by evaluating, testing, and integrating new products and features Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Technology with nine (9) years of experience Experience working with the federal government (DOW) Must have Cisco Unified Communications experience in:
Cisco Unified Communication Manager v15, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Meeting Server, VG450, VG420 IOS-based voice resources including TDM gateways, SRST, hardware conferencing, transcoding, and Cisco Unified Border Element
Experience planning, designing, implementing, and/or administering telephone and unified communication systems Required Security Clearance: No security clearance needed on first day of employment but must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance Desired Qualifications: VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi, vMotion, and vCenter Industry certifications (Cisco CCNP/CCIE Collaboration) Familiarity with Telecommunication Management Systems (TMS), ideally Unique Communications' CAIRS TMS and VoIP Discovery system Knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP, RTP, and HELD Working experience and/or knowledge of Agile methodology and scrum teams
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
