This role is ideally suited to a Technical Project Manager with strong Release Management experience who can implement governance, drive process improvements, and coordinate complex technology releases across multiple teams.
Job Responsibilities Establish and lead the organisation's Release Management function, implementing best practices, governance, and operational standards.
Develop and maintain release management processes, policies, and documentation to support consistent and controlled delivery.
Plan, coordinate and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple technology projects and workstreams.
Collaborate with project managers, development teams, infrastructure, testing, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure successful release execution.
Manage release schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and change activities to minimise disruption to business operations.
Chair release planning meetings and provide clear communication on release readiness, timelines, and delivery status.
Continuously assess and improve release processes, identifying opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.
Ensure appropriate governance, reporting, and audit controls are maintained throughout the release lifecycle.
Experience Required Minimum of 7+ years' experience in IT Project Management, Technical Project Management, Release Management, or a related technology delivery role.
Proven experience establishing or enhancing a Release Management function within a complex enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of release governance, change management, and software delivery lifecycles.
Experience managing multiple concurrent releases involving cross-functional technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence delivery outcomes.
Strong organisational, planning, and risk management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Desirable Skills Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD release practices.
Familiarity with ITIL Service Management processes, particularly Change and Release Management.
Experience with release management and project delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
Experience implementing governance frameworks and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Background working within large enterprise or regulated environments would be advantageous.
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline. xyswxtq
Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent are advantageous.
