Assistant Project Manager

A growing construction company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support its project management team in delivering ground-up commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction, with a focus on project coordination, and a strong ability to manage timelines, budgets, and subcontractors. Project experience may include ground-up multifamily, apartments, condominiums, affordable housing, and commercial rehab projects. Proficiency in Procore and MS Project is required. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Support the Project Manager in meeting safety, quality, and budget objectives.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts.
  • Maintain and monitor project schedules to meet milestones.
  • Assist with procurement and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Track and report project budgets and financials.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, particularly ground-up projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Experience with ground-up multifamily, apartments, condominiums, affordable housing, and commercial rehab projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Procore and MS Project is required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
