About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, people‑oriented Outside Sales Representative to help expand our presence in the commercial door, frame, and hardware market. Industry experience is not required — we will train the right person. Your primary responsibility is simple and high‑impact: get in front of contractors, end‑users, and architects to build relationships and schedule meetings. Once meetings are set, our technical team will handle presentations, estimating, and product expertise.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, building rapport, and opening doors (literally and figuratively) for new business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Identify and engage general contractors, end users, architects, and other potential clients in the Dallas or Houston area
Schedule introductory meetings and presentations for our technical sales team
Conduct regular in‑person visits to job sites, offices, and architectural firms
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients
Represent the company professionally at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
Maintain accurate records of outreach, contacts, and scheduled appointments
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth hand off of qualified leads
Stay aware of local construction activity and upcoming projects
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable initiating conversations and meeting new people
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
Organized and able to manage multiple outreach efforts at once
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Sales, customer service, or networking experience is a plus but not required
Familiarity with the construction industry is helpful but not necessary — we will train
