Our team of administrators works closely with engineering colleagues to provide highest quality engineering support for Micron’s Technology Development teams. As a member of this team, your focus will be on providing server support for engineering design teams to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. Responsibilities
Provide best in class computer support for engineering design teams. Serve as a technical leader and escalation point for technologies supporting the Linux compute space. Drive innovation and automation of computer solutions internally and for customers. Provision physical and virtual systems. Drive configuration management through Puppet. Use scripting languages (Python, shell) to automate tasks, system builds, and configuration management. Partner with customers and internal application teams to onboard, enable, and optimize AI workloads. Support the deployment, integration, and operation of AI-driven applications, services, and agents aligned to business workflows. Fix and resolve sophisticated issues related to AI workload access, performance, integration, and reliability. Supervise overall health of the Unix/Linux environment with emphasis on proactive discovery of potential issues. Continuously improve Linux compute environment through automation. Propose and implement system enhancements that improve performance and reliability of systems and services. Qualifications
3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise Red Hat Unix/Linux solutions. Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, etc. Deep knowledge and experience supporting RHEL 8 & 9. Proficient with LDAP configuration and management. Experience with virtualization (VMware). Hands‑on experience with computer hardware maintenance. Experience supporting AI, HPC, cloud, or other large-scale compute infrastructure in production environments. Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service. Strong drive for continuous improvement. In‑depth knowledge of Redhat Kickstart and configuration management tools (Puppet preferred). Proven skills in automating systems services and tasks to streamline service and ensure consistency. Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to tackle sophisticated problems. Experience supporting servers in the cloud preferred. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal). Strong decision‑making, prioritization, and negotiation skills. Passion and accountability for the environment you will be responsible for. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications
