Position Overview Harris Williams will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. Core Responsibilities Workforce Planning & Budgeting Support and help evolve the firm’s human capital budgeting process, including salary, taxes, and total compensation spend. Align headcount planning with financial forecasts, ensuring talent decisions are grounded in cost data. Partner with Finance to support annual budgeting cycles and ongoing workforce forecasts.
Analytics Infrastructure & Platform Development Build and maintain analytics and reporting within Visier, enabling leaders to self‑serve insights into headcount, budget, and workforce trends. Support development of cost center frameworks, improving visibility into spend by department vs. location. Contribute to the continued evolution of the firm’s talent analytics ecosystem, including AI‑enabled insights. Help evolve the firm’s analytics capabilities from descriptive reporting to predictive and decision‑oriented insights, enabling more proactive, data‑driven leadership decisions.
Execution, Tracking & Variance Analysis Monitor workforce plans against real‑time data and adjust as business needs evolve. Perform Actuals vs. Forecast analysis to identify variances in headcount and spend. Maintain the master workforce plan, incorporating hiring, attrition, and internal mobility dynamics.
Executive Reporting & Storytelling Produce Quarterly Business Review (QBR) materials and other leadership reporting. Translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable business insights and narratives. Support senior leadership conversations by connecting talent metrics to firm performance.
Cross‑Functional Partnership Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Partner with Talent and Recruiting to track hiring performance and capacity metrics. Work with business leaders and operations teams to model workforce needs and future‑state scenarios.
Job Specific Competencies, Education and Experience Experience (0–3 years) in FP&A, People Analytics, Business Operations, or a similar analytical role. Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, HR, or related field. Technical Skills Advanced Excel skills (required). Experience with HRIS, analytics tools, or Visier (preferred).
Finance Acumen Understanding of budgeting, labor costs, and how workforce decisions impact financial outcomes.
AI Literacy Comfort using AI tools to analyze data and generate insights.
Core Traits Strong critical thinking and sound judgment. Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail. Proactive communication and stakeholder awareness. Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Compensation Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000. Salaries may vary within the range based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. Role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
