Education, Training and Experience
Technical Analyst – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or associate degree with 3+ years IT experience, or high school diploma with 5+ years IT experience).
Systems Analyst – Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years IT experience (or associate degree with 6+ years IT experience, or high school diploma with 8+ years IT experience).
Senior Systems Analyst – Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years IT experience (or associate degree with 10+ years IT experience, or high school diploma with 12+ years IT experience).
Experience
Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others on multiple activities, managing competing demands and changing priorities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills.
Customer‑service orientation and adaptability to ongoing change.
Knowledge of utility operations (preferred).
Ideal Technical Skills
Experience with SAP in one or more of the following areas (preferred): finance, supply chain, procurement, work management/asset management, document management, service, IS‑U Customer Engagement (billing), Fiori, human resources/payroll, SuccessFactors, SAP BTP.
Additional Desired Experience
Providing technical and configuration support for business processes.
Coordinating support services with third‑party vendors.
Developing and maintaining imports and exports across multiple systems.
Experience working within an ERP environment.
Licenses and/or Certifications
Security clearance may be required; incumbents must satisfy any existing and future District security clearance or background check requirements.
Obtain and maintain intermediate to advanced technical certification aligned with key business system platforms used at the District (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Certifications, and security related best practices).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Technical Analyst
Analyze, design, develop, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide direction for complex systems, applications, and databases.
Provide technical architecture recommendations and apply best practices in system design, development, and testing.
Collaborate, advise, and coach other analysts to ensure understanding of business and technical work processes and tools.
Evaluate, create, document, and test complex system‑related interfaces and integration.
Maintain efficient management of vendor contract service relationships.
Provide 24/7 system support as needed.
Systems Analyst
All duties of the Technical Analyst.
Lead special task groups, troubleshooting efforts, and integration/improvement project teams.
Lead the development and implementation of training and communications plans/materials.
Senior Systems Analyst
All duties of the Technical and Systems Analyst.
Proven understanding of key NPPD business unit activities and successful application of security technical solution design, development, and responsive customer support.
Work closely with management to oversee and lead resolution of complex technical challenges and new business system initiatives.
Accountable for other duties as assigned.
Salary Information
Technical Analyst – $6,477.00 – $8,096.00 per month.
Systems Analyst – $8,218.00 – $10,478.00 per month.
Senior Systems Analyst – $9,430.00 – $12,023.00 per month.
Travel Up to 25% (generally within Nebraska, with no or minimal overnight stays).
