Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic examinations, and crafting tailored treatment plans Diagnosing and addressing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions independently or in partnership with physicians, based on your credentials Providing education to patients and families regarding preventive care, wellness strategies, and disease management Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic conditions Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless and comprehensive patient care Maintaining accurate and complete documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Necessary Education
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Dakota National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a specialty equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Attributes That Distinguish You
