Create and implement tailored treatment plans that aim for both immediate goals and long-term improvement in communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver individual speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to foster an integrated care approach. Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress and facilitate continued development beyond therapy sessions. Assist with infrequent inpatient assessments and therapy sessions, ensuring a comprehensive approach throughout patients' rehabilitation journeys. Maintain precise and prompt documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional requirements. Keep abreast of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified. Certifications
A state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills
