Professional Therapy Partners is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for our outpatient orthopedic clinic in San Antonio, Texas.

This Physical Therapist Assistant role is a strong fit for a licensed PTA who wants a steady schedule, a manageable caseload, and a patient-first outpatient setting. You will treat patients under the plan of care created by a Physical Therapist while working with a supportive clinical team.

• $25 to $33 per hour, depending on experience.

• Treat patients under the direction and plan of care established by the Physical Therapist.
• Carry out therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual techniques, neuromuscular re-education, balance training, and mobility work.
• Help patients progress safely toward strength, balance, mobility, pain reduction, and recovery goals.
• Monitor patient response during treatment and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients on exercises, positioning, safety, home programs, and follow-through.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and timely in the clinic's EMR system.
• Communicate clearly with patients, Physical Therapists, clinic staff, and leadership.
• Support a clean, safe, organized, and professional treatment environment.
• Build strong patient relationships through encouragement, coaching, and consistent care.
• Follow clinic standards, state practice guidelines, and PTA scope of practice.

• Strong understanding of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Ability to follow and progress treatment plans within PTA scope of practice.
• Clear communication with patients, Physical Therapists, and clinic team members.
• Strong patient engagement, coaching, and education skills.
• Good clinical judgment when monitoring patient response, safety, and tolerance.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage a steady outpatient schedule.
• Comfortable documenting in an EMR system.
• Team-first approach with willingness to support clinic flow.
• Professional, positive, and patient-focused mindset.
• Interest in continued learning, mentorship, and clinical growth.

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
• New graduates with strong outpatient clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
• BLS or CPR certification preferred.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
