About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Business Analyst to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
Elicit and document business requirements via interviews, workshops, working sessions, and data review.
Create As‑Is and To‑Be process models, use cases, user stories, functional descriptions, and business rules.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops to clarify expectations, validate requirements, and resolve conflicts.
Maintain requirements traceability between business needs, functional requirements, and delivered solutions.
Support change analysis, impact assessments, and coordination with system engineers, developers, and QA teams.
Produce clear, concise artifacts (requirements documents, process maps, acceptance criteria) for technical teams and stakeholders.
Assist in user acceptance activities, validation sessions, and transition support as required.
Qualifications
5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field; OR
Completion of relevant DoD/Military training (Systems Requirements Planner (Intermediate) Playlist); OR
Relevant certifications or equivalent experience (examples: CCSP, CFR, FITSP‑M, GSEC, Security+, SSCP).
Experience: Business analysis, process modeling, or requirements support experience; DoD/enterprise program experience preferred.
Skills: Process modeling (BPMN), requirements capture, workshop facilitation, use-case development, stakeholder management, and basic data analysis.
Tools: Familiarity with requirements tools (DOORS, Jira, Jama), MS Office, Visio/Archi or equivalent modeling tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior DoD/Army/ARNG program experience
Experience with Agile/iterative development, requirements traceability, and UAT support
Familiarity with DoDAF views or basic systems engineering concepts
Details Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
