About this role: As a General Surgeon at Cedar City Hospital, you'll practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside two experienced surgeons. In this role, you'll maintain a balanced mix of clinic and operating room time while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad range of general surgery conditions. You'll coordinate pre- and post-operative care and utilize a full range of surgical approaches, including minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as traditional methods.
Typical schedule includes two clinic days and two OR days per week Shared call coverage with expectations dependent on team size Opportunity to discuss additional clinical interests, with emphasis on maintaining balanced case volumes

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery ACGME-accredited residency training in General Surgery Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process

The area has recently experienced major population growth, and the trend is expected to continue. The area is known for its breathtaking scenery and is the gateway to the nation's largest concentration of national parks. Recreational activities for the entire family include camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing and mountain biking. There is a moderate four-season climate, and during winter months residents can ski in the morning and play golf in nearby communities in the afternoon. Educational opportunities are available through Utah Tech University and Southern Utah University (SUU). Summer activities include the Utah Summer Games and the Utah Shakespeare Festival, recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre.
