Occupational Therapist As an Occupational Therapist based in Queen City Cincinnati, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges. Your primary objective will be to assess patients' needs and develop personalized therapeutic plans that promote independence and improve daily functioning. You will work closely with patients across diverse populations, including those requiring geriatric rehabilitation and individuals with cerebral palsy, to facilitate recovery and adaptation. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure comprehensive care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being. Ultimately, your efforts will empower patients to regain skills, adapt to limitations, and achieve their highest possible level of autonomy in everyday activities. Job Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify therapeutic needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on rehabilitation and skill development. Provide hands-on therapy and guidance to patients, utilizing techniques tailored to conditions such as cerebral palsy and geriatric impairments. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to coordinate care and support patient progress. Document patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Ohio. Demonstrated experience in rehabilitation therapy, including physical and occupational therapy techniques. Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions for geriatric populations and neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in specialized rehabilitation techniques or pediatric occupational therapy. Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting within the Cincinnati area. Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment for patient care. Additional training in cognitive rehabilitation or mental health support. Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
