Description
Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a blend of standardized testing and observation. Design tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term communication goals. Deliver individual speech therapy sessions that concentrate on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to formulate comprehensive care approaches. Educate patients and their families in techniques to foster progress outside of therapy settings. Perform inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Keep thorough and precise documentation that adheres to relevant guidelines and standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborative learning with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills
