Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care strategies Identifying and treating acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses either independently or in collaboration with physicians based on your qualifications Providing education to patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments within the scope of your practice Engaging in continuous patient care and follow-up for chronic conditions Teaming up with various healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care Maintaining accurate, detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Credentials and Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington state National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent certification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure within 90 days) Key Characteristics for Success
