Processing Support Technician DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! We want people with expertise working in a highly regulated environment, aseptic technique, and attention to detail. The Processing Support Technician will operate as part of a team within a sterile environment working with donated human tissue. The Processing Support Technician is responsible for the production, preservation, and storage of allografts which are implanted in a multitude of surgical applications. There are lots of opportunities for quick advancement through our established career progression system! Additional compensation added for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts provided!! Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
Provides support to Processing Technicians in a cleanroom environment. Maintains a clean and microbe free cleanroom area by cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and equipment. Safely handles chemical reagents and biohazardous waste according to standard operating procedures, applicable AATB standards and FDA regulations. Operating equipment used for obtaining particle counts within a cleanroom environment. Properly handle chemical reagents, and biohazardous materials/blood borne pathogens according to proper standards and regulations. Read and comprehend detailed procedures, and accurately document information in quality records. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs., wear personal protective equipment, and routinely clean/disinfect clean room areas. Perform other related duties as assigned.
The Processing Support Technician will be required to complete an extensive training program. The base pay for this position is $18.50/hour. Additional incentives are available for working night or weekend shift. The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel required. 2 years of tissue banking, tissue recovery, manufacturing, surgical technician, or other closely related experience preferred.
