Locate prior scans using information provided in scheduling notes, EMR, and/or from patients directly. Document findings in RIS. Retrieve prior scans using the proper procedure for each facility. Arrange for courier pick-up using proper documentation. Scans should be at the Imaging Center the day before the patient's appointment whenever possible. Document in RIS when prior scans are loaded to PACS. Return outside scans if necessary, using proper procedure and documentation either by courier, UPS, or FedEx. Make reminder calls to patients concerning appointment time and prep instructions 2 days prior to appointment whenever possible. Leave instructions on answering machine or voicemail if necessary. Document in RIS appropriately. Load data and submit for SMS messages to patients reminding them of their appointment. Handle requests from Radiologist as needed. Provide electronic image pushes or burn discs for outside facilities and patient requests. Assist technologists with patient care when needed. Performs all duties in accordance with Tennessee Oncology Policies and Procedures Manual and supplemental procedure established for its Imaging Centers. Provides feedback to management regarding possible areas of concern or improvement. Strives to maintain a positive work environment for physicians, patients, and staff. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and responds promptly to requests. Communicates issues, needs, or any other staff/clinic information directly with the Imaging Records Representatives Manager. Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth, Maintains a professional attitude toward other employees conducting his/herself in a professional manner. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education & Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent. Current Certification in Basic Life Support preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be willing and able to travel to satellite clinics when necessary. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment assisted up to 50 lbs.
