Weekly Estimated Pay: $11,900 - $12,540
Assignment Duration: Specific weeks between May 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026
Shift: 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), 4 shifts per week
Call: Weeknight and weekend pager call preferred; holiday call preferred
Case Types: General, Orthopedic, Urology; regional anesthesia proficiency required (regional blocks, peripheral nerve blocks)
Number of Anesthesia Rooms / ORs: 4
Charting / EMR: Epic
Job Requirements M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
ECFMG and FLEX certifications
Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
Board Certification in Anesthesiology
Current Virginia physician license or willingness to obtain state licensure
Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in anesthesiology
Regional anesthesia proficiency (experience with nerve blocks and regional techniques required)
Primary Responsibilities Provide safe anesthesia care including induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain/verify informed consent
Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans with patients and families
Monitor and manage patients' physiological status throughout procedures
Perform clinical interventions and advanced airway management as indicated
Coordinate perioperative care and communicate effectively with surgical and nursing teams
Manage independent cases (no CRNA supervision required)
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and adhere to institutional policies
