CRNA Job Requirements Current license as a registered professional nurse in the U.S.; eligibility for VA state licensure preferred
Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA/CCNA)
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a CRNA
Willingness to work a broad case mix common to community acute care hospitals
Primary Responsibilities Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and develop perioperative anesthesia plans
Obtain and verify informed consent for anesthesia and educate patients about anesthetic options and risks
Provide safe induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia across diverse case types
Monitor physiological status, manage intraoperative hemodynamics, and respond to changes in patient condition
Perform airway management and clinical interventions; collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff
Document anesthesia care thoroughly and follow institutional protocols and quality standards
Maintain required certifications and comply with facility credentialing and privileging processes
