Utilizes aggregate data, research, and trends when developing education programs and/or assessing the effectiveness of documentation for area of specialty. Provides timely feedback to providers regarding documentation opportunities for improvement and successes. Coordinates and conducts regular meeting with HIM Coding Professionals to monitor retrospective query rate and address issues. Actively engages Case Management and RAC committee to continually evaluate and spearhead documentation improvement opportunities to reduce denials and support medical necessity. Conducts monthly communication with providers/leadership regarding documentation trends that need further documentation specificity. Participates in creation, implementation, and evaluation of provider documentation.
Job Requirements Required
Bachelors of Science One (1)+ years clinical coding documentation experience Registered Nurse: AZ
Preferred
Masters of Nursing Nursing experience in specialty area Two (2) or more years of experience
