Overview Join a leading global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of plant machinery as a Mobile Plant Engineer. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team, covering the northern region of the country. This is an excellent opportunity for someone located within an hour and a half of Manchester to work with cutting-edge machinery, receive industry-leading training, and enjoy a competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Provide exceptional customer service while working on-site at client locations. Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times. Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues. Qualifications
Proven experience as a plant engineer, mobile engineer, or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Relevant qualifications in engineering or plant maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent). Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Full UK driving license. Strong communication and customer service skills. Day-to-Day
Travel to customer sites across the northern region to perform maintenance and repairs. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve faults. Liaise with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work. Maintain and manage the company-provided van, ensuring it is stocked with necessary tools and parts. Attend manufacturer training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and machinery. Benefits
